Snow Days

We have had some wonderful snow days here in the South!!!! It snowed in January and February and I have a feeling that we aren't through yet. It has actually snowed every year since we moved here so I am grateful that Reese won't be one of those children that has never seen snow-since Rob and I love it so much! I thought you might enjoy some pictures and movies we took during these two snow days!

Life From Reese's Perspective

So Reese really loves to take the camera and take pictures-the catch???? Well she can actually do it-she seems to always seems to capture the image! I thought I would share some of her pictures with you as you can see how a 3-year old sees things. They are really fun! Oh the pictures are of the inside of our home as I usually don't let her run around outside with my camera!!!

This is her chair in our living room.

This is the her coming into the kitchen from the foyer.

This is a snapshot of a wonderful picture I found at an art sale.....the picture is of the original Penn Station (it is where Madison Square Garden now stands). I love pictures like this that take a snapshot of life at that time!

This is Reese taking a picture of the ceiling....to the right is where you would go up the stairs and further right is where the dining room is.
Hope you enjoyed my budding photographer's work!!

Finishing up the holidays

Here are some more pictures from December. The pictures of Reese on the swing are some of my favorites. She absolutely loves to swing....always has!!

We spent New Years Eve at my brothers home with his wife and Reese's cousins and we all had a wonderful time. On our way home the next day we stopped by Lenox Mall to take Reese to the Pink Pig....just as fun as last year!!

Just had to add these pictures!!!!

So these pictures are from our Christmas Dinner with all the Troisi family together.

Christmas 2009

It's Christmas time! This year we went to the Christmas Parade/Breakfast with Santa again in downtown Atlanta. It was a really cold day again! This year we went with my brother Terry, his wife Anne, and Reese's cousin Oliver as well as our friends Mark and Catherine with their daughter Caroline. It was really fun.

The pictures below are us preparing for Christmas. This year we made Christmas cookies with Catherine and Caroline and we made gingerbread houses with our neighbor Brandee and her son Avery. Reese really enjoyed making the gingerbread house, but alas not much of it was eaten!

I also included a picture of her seeing Santa again at our MOMS Club cookies with Santa event.

Reese's dance class did a really cute special dance of the 12 days of Christmas for all the parents who came before the Christmas break. There is also a picture of her and her friend Ella dancing at class (Reese is facing the camera). We had a wonderful Christmas in our new home. On Christmas Eve I picked up my brother Jason and his wife Kelly who flew in from Seattle and we had a great Christmas eve dinner with my parents, Jason and Kelly. Reese was really excited to leave the cookies out for Santa this year and I am sure that Santa devoured every one of the cookies she left!

The little house with the green roof is the house that Rob and I spent a couple of days putting together. It was her "big" gift this year. We left it in the garage since it was going to rain again on Christmas (it has been raining in Ga since Sept). When we showed it to her, she walked up to it very hesitantly and then said "hey, you need to turn on the light"....too funny!! She received a wonderful art easel from her grammy and grandpa. We went over to my parents house where my whole family had gathered for Christmas dinner. I think this might have been the first time in about 5 years that we have all been together. My parents remodeled my old doll house (my grandpa made it for me when I was 5 1/2) and gave it to Reese for Christmas. It was a wonderful Christmas and likely one I won't forget for a very long time!

Believe it or not!!!

Well....these pictures are getting closer to the actual season we are in!!! Yeah for me!

Oh and if you didn't realize it-you can click on the collage and view the pictures a little bit closer if you like! I do know that some of them are kind of small!

So I am sure that you can tell that Reese was Ariel from the "Little Mermaid" for Halloween. We went trick or treating in our new neighborhood...oh, did I mention that we just bought our first house!! We love it in this house. It really is the perfect place for us. Reese got to wear her costume numerous times this month....for her birthday (which you saw her party pics below), for music class, for dance class, a local Halloween party at a friends house, and for trick or treating with her cousin Oliver. Halloween is honestly one of my fav holidays and this one really took the cake. I took Reese out for an hour and then we came home and handed out candy...that was a lot of fun for both of us. Yes, I did say both of us because I honestly think it has been over 15 years since I got to hand out candy! Living in NYC as well as apartments here in Georgia have made trick or treaters hard to come by! Reese really had a great time even though the weather was a little yucky!

Just some pics from November....getting ready to go for a walk (top pic). When we go for walks we still take the stroller, but when we get on the golf cart paths in the woods, Reese wants to get out of the stroller and run. She really runs and for distance. I have visions of a track star! Later that day we decided to wash the car-she loved that! And the last pic is us making yogurt strawberry muffins with whole wheat-it has soooo many less calories and fat than a regular muffin!

Thanksgiving this year was in New York with Grammy and Grandpa Halverson. Reese also needed to meet her newest cousin...Abby! Reese enjoyed feeding her and holding her....hoping she will be a big sister someday! We took Reese ice skating. I have to say that I was so thankful for my mother in law Terry because if it weren't for her we would have never made it. Terry and I skated along while practically dragging Reese! She really loved it. She honestly skated for over an hour...even though it was colder in the rink than it was outside! While we were in New York we also got together with our friends Bill and Natalie and their family...a pic of all three girls is there (Reese wouldn't "cheese" for the camera). The girls really enjoyed playing together-puppet shows and all!
